CHEEK TO CHEEK

As a Christian we are to turn the other cheek and I try to do just that. Today I turned the other cheek only to have it smacked, damn now I have two sore cheeks.

I work with a nut of a person. She has tried to fight with several of us and customers. They move her around in hopes that they can manage her behavior. For the second time she went at me I chose to walk away to do my job the lady I was helping seemed to think she was crazy as she rambled on and on about how I won’t speak to her about this issue. I have no problem resolving issues if I’m not on the phone making a page for someone and helping people.

Today the woman decided that me being nice to her wasn’t right so I shouldn’t be nice.

Ummm what???

She then decided to tell her version of what she thought might make her look better. Dropping the issue makes you look better. I told them the truth thus calling her a liar.

Ummmm ok what????

I keep getting told that she is being canned so I should hold on.
My cheeks are getting real sore and this test is getting harder.

This is what I keep saying to myself-

Matthew 5:39 TNIV
Chapter
But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.

Luke 6:29 TNIV ChapterIf someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt.

Love for Enemies
Luke 6:25-28 NIV

27"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Cheek to Cheek and turn the other cheek is also what I try to accomplish Milly !
I only have two cheeks to turn , but then its time to settle things ?
I would have to hope that Jesus would forgive me ?
Blessings.
Ron.

A bad week for both of us and I am getting it on both cheeks as well, not that I am practising Jesus' words though. Being with people is hard, it is suppose to be good but it is nevertheless hard.

agghh. this is a recurring theme on blogs...and I'm very convicted! Thanks for the reminders, though. So far I haven't thrown anything back at my evil neighbor. The worst I've done is hang up on him while he was raging at me. You and everyone else remind me to put it away and walk the high road.

Sometimes, after turning the cheek, you have to smite them.
I will call you about the 4th

Thanks for sharing this one Milly. I think that it helps to put scriptural language to our everyday events.
