Pray for those children

I’m not sure why I typed it tonight.
I was led to do so.
Pray for them

She stood quietly on the sidewalk not sure what to do or where to go.
This is what being alone was like, it’s cold and unsure.
She looked around wondering if she should ask for help.
Is it safe to ask a stranger for help?
She thought about the moments before when the anger was deep in her soul when she was ready to strike at them for what they had done.
The harsh world she ran from now looked good again
Should she speak to the man in the car
What will he want her to do?

1 million to 3 million runaway and homeless kids are living on the streets in the United States.

Milly; I imagine you will get comments, from the far, far right religious wing zealot type who will say it is God’s will that these children be where they are, because God is in control of all things. We as mere human beings just don’t understand the ways of God. (I have heard all this before) As the elder in this Texas Meredith family, I say Bull s---. let’s look at what Jesus told the apostles as to who would be in control of this earth he was leaving behind, and who had the responsibility to carry on the fight against such powers.

Jn: 14:27: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28: Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29: And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30: Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31: But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence

Pay special attention to v. 30-31; Jesus tells us who is coming once he leaves, and for us to go hence into battle. No it is not God’s will and we as Christians need to put a stop to it as best we can.
I believe the place we as Christians neglect our duty is to the children; and might I add we will be held accountable. sorry my comment is much longer than your post but this is my hot button. may god bless you and all children. amen

laymond,
Never apologise for a long comment here. Your voice is welcomed.

The first time I was in Atlantic City my heart went out to these young people living on the streets. I grew up with success stories so to see some that weren't was difficult.

We need to reach out to them in some way. We see the ones from other countries more then in our own at times.

What a gut-wrenching read this morning. My son ran away once when he was in his teens ... it was a traumatic experience for us ... felt tht I had lost another family member ... thankfully he showed back up a few days later. Thanks Milly for posting this reminder that the road often seems better than the sadness of home. Prayer makes the difference.
