Ya’ll may remember how I enjoy fishing. I was fishing when I asked and I’m working on a post on this question Is it alright to be angry with God? I know what my answer is and I kind of knew what most of you were going to say.
Today I stared working on the worship slides and found this song.
Today I stared working on the worship slides and found this song.
I think it's fitting to start with.
My eyes are dry
My eyes are dry
By Keith Green
My eyes are dry
my faith is old
My heart is hard
my prayers are cold
My eyes are dry
my faith is old
My heart is hard
my prayers are cold
And I know how
I ought to be
Alive to You
and dead to me
What can be done
With an old heart
like mine
Soften it up
with oil and wine
The oil is You
Your Spirit of love
Please wash
me anew
In the wine
of Your blood
My eyes are dry
my faith is old
My heart is hard
my prayers are cold
of Your blood
My eyes are dry
my faith is old
My heart is hard
my prayers are cold
And I know how
I ought to be
Alive to You
and dead to me
What can be done
With an old heart
like mine
Soften it up
with oil and wine
The oil is You
Your Spirit of love
Please wash
me anew
In the wine
of Your blood

This is such a beautiful song! I had goosebumps just reading it. Need to go look for it and listen to how it sounds. Thanks for posting it Milly.
Indeed,
My eyes are dry
my faith is old
My heart is hard
my prayers are cold ...

I do not have your email address and I hope you don't mind me putting a note here - the piece I was writing concerns our local scene - about the federal government, which went through a major shake-up over the last general elections on 8 Mar. The Fourth Floor of the Prime Minister's office carries some connotations and is well-known among the more-politically-informed people here. I was due to attend a meeting with my big boss for work purposes (nothing to do with politics) and inadvertently landed in Fourth Floor to meet one of the players in the country's politics. Hence the apocalyptic writing :) I did not realise until I was there.
Try reading it again - does it make more sense now? :)
