Wishing For The Road

The road looks good from this side of the fence.
I could get into my mom car and drive until my mind can’t grasp another moment of the path. I could drive far away in hopes that the hard parts of life fall away.
I’ll instead go back to work longing to be outside in that beautiful sunrise wishing for the road.

Oh, I like this. I wish something similar often....just take me away into the beauty of the day...

Yep. I can relate. There are days that I feel like I could just drive the highway forever...skip work...find myself in North Carolina...have a cup of coffee...and come back.

It't the impracticallity of it that keeps me from doing it. That, and the gas money!

Hope you get to enjoy a long drive soon, Milly.

Milly; we always long for the road we didn't take. Happy New Year

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Here's hoping that you can take a little of that road inside to work and share with everyone who'd like to be there, too!
