Hinton’s book the Outsiders has this poem in it. She’s from Tulsa Oklahoma. I still have three of her books to read. I knew that she had written one more but had no idea she had two children’s books. Her books if you haven’t seen the movies are geared for teens, still The Outsiders and That Was Then This Is Now, are good reads.

“If you want to be a writer, I have two pieces of advice. One is to be a reader. I think that’s one of the most important parts of learning to write. The other piece of advice is ‘Just do it!’ Don’t think about it, don’t agonize, sit down and write.”—S. E. Hinton

It’s fun to me to read the local writers stuff. I have a friend who writes and illustrates children’s books. My children love them.
1.Millyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08676326805474564427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24015530.post-1152197445633130662006-07-06T07:50:00.000-07:002006-07-06T07:50:00.000-07:00Great post, Milly!I live only about 10 miles from ...Great post, Milly!

I live only about 10 miles from the Robert Frost farm in Derry, NH.
