There are verses that say the opposite of what you want to hear - and possibly the opposite of what you need to hear, too. Those are the right verses to meditate on, because they will drive you to work to understand the God Who wrote them.

If you find a verse that tells you to hurt yourself, don't just start hurting yourself. Ask the Spirit why that verse is telling you to do something that you don't want to do. Ask the Spirit to reveal and to convict. Then, don't wait. Start digging in. Study that verse, and every verse linked to it, and its context, and every verse that seems to say the opposite.

Eventually, you will either learn that you were understanding that verse wrongly, or you will understand why you should do what it tells you to do. It will be a joy to you - maybe a Gethsemane joy, but a joy.

Our God is not a God of confusion. He can carry you through every doubt. And you are not without tools. You can work on this confusion, and solve it.

Love ya, sister.Kevin Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16788817477327510023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24015530.post-1147308188977277252006-05-10T17:43:00.000-07:002006-05-10T17:43:00.000-07:00He said "If you pay me" AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! sigh ... ...He said "If you pay me" AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

sigh ... my own AAAHHs are getting longer and louder.pearliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17142595255771626179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24015530.post-1147295601835694142006-05-10T14:13:00.000-07:002006-05-10T14:13:00.000-07:00Need I say more?
